A little flour, a lot of patience, and a whole lot of love for the craft.
Sunny Day Sourdough began the way most good things do — at a kitchen table, with a curious baker and a jar of bubbling starter. What started as a weekend hobby quickly turned into something bigger: a deep love for the art of slow bread and the joy of sharing it with neighbors.
We opened our doors because we believe that real bread — made with wild yeast, time, and intention — should be part of everyday life. Not a luxury, just a loaf. The kind that fills your kitchen with warmth and your home with the smell of something wonderful.
Every loaf is made by hand, in small batches, using long cold fermentation. Our starter has been alive for years, and it shows in every crust. We source our grains from regional mills when possible and keep our ingredient lists short: flour, water, salt, and time.
We never rush the process. Good sourdough can't be hurried — and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Flour, water, salt — and a living starter we tend every single day.
Long cold proofs for depth of flavor and a crust that truly sings.
We bake for our neighbors. Local sourcing, local love, always.
We genuinely love what we do — and we hope you can taste it.
We'd love to see you. Pull up a stool, grab a coffee, and let us wrap up something warm for you. The door is open Tuesday through Saturday, and the bread is always fresh.
